Agave Syrup
Agave is the name of a succulent plant that belongs within the plant biological family classification of Agavaceae. There are dozens of different varieties, but by far the most popular species is the Blue Agave named Agave tequilana Weber variety. The Sap of the Blue Agave extracted from the hearts (piƱas), contains large quantities of Complex Sugars named Fructooligosaccharides. The final agave syrup is organically produced and is a natural product containing a high content of fructose. It is available in a number of grades and can be used as a table liquid sweetener or to substitute other sugars in the manufacture of a wide variety of finished products.
